Our purpose is to present a balanced coverage of events, promote the best interests of Nigeria and defend her UNITY. It does not owe allegiance to any political party, ethnic community, religious or other interest group. Its primary commitment is to the integrity and sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and beyond that to the unity and sovereignty of Africa.

Our major challenge is to further the awareness campaign we Nigerians have a radio station on the internet that we can listen to any time we turn on our computers at work, home, mobile phones and anywhere else. Our focus is to present distinctive, exceptional, exemplary, first-class, first-rate, outstanding, premium programs that will encourage good corporate governance, democratic ideals, ideas of dignity, hope, a sense of duty, acceptable standards of right and wrong, accountability, honor, the unity of Nigeria and faith in God our creator.

Our programs will promote democracy and freedom of speech while respecting minority and human rights. Our planners expect this message to serve as a burst of fresh air for our target audience. Live roundtable discussions are planned as well as comedy, sports and entertainment that all listeners, Muslims, Christians and other religions can enjoy.
We ultimately intend to capture the largest share of listenership of professionals worldwide and others in Diaspora and at home. In the near future we hope to commission an MW/AM transmission that can be heard all over the USA and UK as well as a satellite transmission on cable network.

Now we can say many can listen to Nigerian music wherever and whenever; at home, whilst working and on the move via their mobile phones. Technology has made information available and accessible and that is what our people need for a better Nigeria and World.

Peter A. Olaniran
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Peter Olaniran (a.k.a FabbyGee) is a highly accomplished IT professional with over 18 years of experience working with a major business applications software house. He is a software consultant by profession; businessman by choice and an advocate of God by calling. Peter began his career working for National Cash Register (NCR) based in Nigeria in the 80’s and then traveled to the UK to further his Studies in Computer Technology. Peter holds a Master’s degree from the South Bank University, London.

Since then, Peter has committed most of his life to Project Management and Business Development. His experience has now expanded over 15 years. He has worked in various capacities for known organizations such as Selfridges, GlaxoSmithKline, British Standard Institute (BSI) and Tesco. While at Tesco, Peter played an integral role as a member to a team of analysts that designed the Key Performance Indicator used in measuring and monitoring part of the e-commerce services provided and delivered by Tesco.com.

As the chief executive officer for unity1960.com he created this vision as a platform that will allow Nigerians and Africans in Diaspora to connect with their country. Before he relocated to the United States, Mr. Olaniran lived in the United Kingdom for over 20 years which is why he understands the importance and the challenge of keeping your identity as Nigerian living abroad. Unity1960 is built with the mindset that even if you are living outside the country you can still enjoy connection with your country. Not only that, Unity1960 is also designed to serve the Nigerians that are born abroad. The new generation of Nigerian children born outside the country can now enjoy the display of their culture through this medium, which is why he designed the network as a way to educate as well as entertain the new generation of Nigerians born abroad.

Finally Mr. Olaniran identifies with the fast growing use of internet technology as a tool to connect, communicate and unite the World at large. With the use of this form of technology growing even faster in the continent of Africa, he believes it is important to leverage the internet to close the communication and the cultural gap between Nigerians and Africans living at home and for those in Diaspora. Ultimately, unity1960 will be a great platform to give a clearer picture of what it’s like to live in Africa!

Peter’s goal is to get to a point whereby one in three Nigerians have access to the internet and can listen to Unity1960.com.

Peter is currently based in Silicon Valley, California, enjoying all it takes to make his vision a reality.

Ben O. Adeyanju

These individuals are dissatisfied with mediocrity, negativity and a pessimistic approach to life. Benjamin Oluwaseyi Adeyanju is a dedicated visionary that is “result driven” with a spark and a bright attitude, crowned with an aura of excellence in all his endeavors.

He attains a wealth of knowledge as an entrepreneur, professional speaker and an outstanding negotiator with a diverse background in Real Estate investment Planning, Acquisitions and Development.  He is becoming a well respected authority in business building, business branding and business sales and negotiation.  As a public speaker, his focal point is centered on individual/personal financial autonomy.  Above all He is a man that fears God, loves His people and has an undying devotion to his family.

Ben has been well prepared for his current opportunities. He is not a stranger to the world of Entrepreneurialism, originally born in Nigeria moved to South Africa to complete his studies he then moved to United States in the year 2000. With about $150.00 in his pocket and without hope for where to begin, he quickly figured out that in order to be financially successful in this country you have to possess a business mind set, be willing to take a calculated risk, position yourself with the right opportunity and then take massive action. He has since then earned the respect of his peers by becoming the top sales representative in 2 different fortune 1000 companies to working as director of operations for a mortgage company to becoming a partner at a mortgage company and owning his own seminar/motivational speaking company.  He has also coached and mentored several individuals about creating Success through God in business and life. Because of Ben Adeyanju experiences and co- authoring a motivational book, he found that you can have it all and loose it all if you go through the school of hard knocks.

When asked to serve as the Executive Director of Unity1960.com, he embraced the vision because it gave him a platform to express his passion for his country. His dedication and commitment is to showcase the talents, skills and the abilities that can help create a better image of our beloved country in and outside of the country; His commitment also extends to the continent of Africa as well. The team effort and the synergy created on the platform of unity1960 coupled with his experience of studying Sound Engineering from Allenby College in South Africa makes this assignment very easy although challenging to accomplish.

Ben currently serves as the president and co-founder of Fortune Masters Group (FMG) with two divisions Fortune Masters Media and Publishing (Fmp) and Fortune Masters Institute (Fmi) respectively. He also sits on the boards of Advisors for the Oakland International Film Festival.

Leveraging his ability to recognize trends in technology, media and business, he recently partnered with Diamond find TV Inc to release a reality TV show about diamond dredging in Africa and the Amazon, scheduled for debut very soon. Known for his altruistic effort and willingness to constantly contribute to his community and the World at large, he designed a project centered on youth to eradicate the High school dropout epidemic in the United States under the umbrella of Fortune Masters Media.

When Benjamin is not busy working, he focuses on serving God through his many musical talents and speaking at several youth programs.

We asked Ben to share two core values that have shaped his life. He answered without hesitation and said “First, is to get to know God; That to me is ultimate…..Seek Him, Find Him and get to know Him; (quoting proverbs 3:6) he said, acknowledge Him in all your ways and he will direct your paths….he continued, true breakthrough in life is to “BE” in the center of Gods will for your life.  Secondly, commit to develop good character; character is who you are when no one is watching and what you stand for when someone is there,He concluded.

No wonder Ben Adeyanju is where he is today, doing what he is doing and being who he is becoming, He clearly exemplifies that a man with a high level professionalism, integrity and honesty can still finish first!

Yetunde Alafe is a wired project manager that carries many years of experience in organizational skills; she also possesses acquired knowledge in cross-functional team leadership management with strong communication skills and a divine approach to turning any mom and pop business to a multi-million dollar empire.
Yetunde is known for her high level of motivation in life, business and applies her high energy in creating desired results in sales and general administrative skills. She constantly demonstrates her creativity, and her unchallenged focus in any given challenge.

When asked why she is very passionate about unity1960.com? She said “Unity1960 covers the two things I am mostly passionate about; one is my country Nigeria. I saw an avenue where we can promote African business our ideas and our lifestyle. Secondly music…..(she continued), in my personal life is one of the most powerful gifts I have for getting in touch with my emotions and finding comfort, healing and inspiration.

Yetunde currently resides in Largo Maryland in the United States; her background is in technical and management expertise in object oriented software development and has a MBA in Computer Systems Management from University of Maryland.

Her motto in life is…. Happiness keeps you sweet, trials keep you strong...Sorrows keep you Human, Failure keeps you humble...Success keeps you glowing, but only God keeps you going!

Tunde Elegbede
Chief Engineer/Technical Director

Tunde (a.k.a. DJ Tunde In the mix) is an IT professional with over 12 years high-level and hands-on experience with Linux, MS Windows, Apple McIntosh and other technologies. A close observer of the industry with a penchant for emerging technologies, he was one of the early adopters of open-source tools and was at the forefront of developing tools and systems that allow easy use of the MP3 music file format. He is currently employed as an engineer with a top Silicon Valley technology firm.

When Tunde is not busy looking and researching for the best new technology, you can find him in one the following two places, either at home spending time with his family or enjoying his favorite hobby as a DJ for many upscale parties in the Bay Area, which is why he is currently one of the most sort after DJ’s in the Bay Area.

Obby V. Denchukwu
Director of Programming

To some people she is simply Vivian, others call her Obby Denchukwu. Born and raised in the Eastern part of Nigeria, she comes from a very prominent family from Enugu State. Obby has a BA in English and graduated form University of Nigeria Nsukka Nigeria. She is described to have a personality of great lion, at the same time an extrovert, caring and a very practical lady that enjoys interactive conversations. Due to Obby’s high IQ, she is described to know something about anything.

Mrs. Denchukwu wears many hats; she currently operates as the Vice President and CFO of a successful HVAC Mechanical Corporation in Pinole California. She is a licensed California Realtor, also an Investor and a State of California licensed Notary. She also currently serves as the Vice President of Last Resort Foundation, a non-profit organization that assists less privileged children all over the world. Above all she is a devoted Catholic that starts her day with Mass.

When asked about her involvement with unity1960.com, she reiterates that music for her is the “fruit of life” she continued….without music life will be so boring. Not only that, Obby was groomed with a family legacy to serve our country on a high level political platform and that burning desire never left her heart. This is why she will grab any opportunity to be of service to her beloved country. She will conclude; I still have a dream to serve my country on a very high level someday, not only that, I have always hoped to be a voice for others. Besides, talking about everyday issues has always been my passion, Unity1960.com is a great platform to serve and be heard, and the people here are great to work with, we all have one thing in common- “passion for Nigeria” that is why I love UNITY1960.com!

Obby currently resides in Hercules CA with her lovely husband and their 3 children (2 handsome boys and 1 beautiful girl). She will say “I love to enjoy life, which is why her motto is LITS: Life is too short.
